MSNBC's "Lockup" is set to premiere eight new episodes in April and May, starting this Saturday, April 7 at 10 pm ET.
The new season kicks off with "Lockup Extended Stay: Santa Rosa, Florida" - a six-part series that will air Saturday nights at 10pm ET, beginning this Saturday, April 7. The series was filmed over four months at Florida's Santa Rosa Correctional Institution, which is known as one of the state's toughest maximum security prisons.
On Saturday, May 19 at 10 pm ET, MSNBC will premiere "Lockup World Tour: Israel," which is the show's first trip to the Middle East. This series was actually shot at three different prisons in the area, including the nation's only female prison facility. According to Executive Producer Elise Warner, “The Israeli prison system places an emphasis on rehabilitation that stands in stark contrast to what we see in the majority of American prisons featured on ‘Lockup.’”
Finally, "Lockup" will follow up on the lives of four controversial inmates previously featured on “Lockup Extended Stay." The one-hour special, "Life After Lockup," will premiere on Saturday, May 26 at 10pm ET.
